Meet Our Team

Over 30 years of combined experience

Matt Krysko

Matt is a NASM certified personal trainer, corrective exercise specialist and an Army veteran. He fell in love with lifting weights when he was 13 and never looked back, but the Army is where he found his calling as a trainer. He trained other soldiers to pass their PT tests or to lose enough weight to be able to stay in the Army. He took his passion from hobby to career in 2016 and has worked in a variety of environments from larger gyms like Work out World to small group gyms like Get in Shape for Women.

Matt specializes in movement assessments and corrective exercise. He has worked with clients of all ages and abilities, from 13-year-old aspiring athletes to clients in their 80’s who just want to move well and move more often. He believes everyone can benefit from having their basic movement patterns evaluated by a professional. Matt then takes the information he obtained from the assessment to design a program specifically tailored to each individual client’s goals, age and ability level.

Matt believes fitness is a lot like building a house. You have to have a strong foundation before you can add a high end kitchen or master suite. Your body is no different. Matt helps clients build a strong foundation so later they can build something that they will love and have for a
long time: a healthy, fit lifestyle.

Michelle Lasata

Michelle is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and MNU Certified Nutritionist. Her love for health & fitness began at an early age playing
recreational sports. She was a three-sport athlete in high school playing softball, basketball and volleyball and continued her passion for volleyball at UMass Dartmouth as a walk-on athlete. She got her first gym-membership at the age of 18 where she developed her love for the weight room.

Michelle began her training career in 2014 training stay-at-home moms at her home-based studio and local gym. She has since trained at Healthtrax Fitness & Wellness in East Providence, the Rhode Island Athletic Club in Woonsocket and has made Iron Edge her primary training location since October, 2017.

Michelle has worked with a broad range of clients from high school athletes, to young adults, moms & dads, as well as post-rehab/retirement-age clients. She believes in making fitness a life-style at EVERY AGE. She caters each program to start at the client’s current level and progresses from there to match every client’s individual goals.

Her training approach is very educational. She enjoys helping clients learn which muscle groups they are working, and why they are working them so they gain an understanding of how to better-utilize their time in the gym. She also teaches them basic nutrition knowledge so they can benefit outside of the gym through better food choices and overall eating habits. She’s committed to finding the right formula for each client and truly believes that “doing” is the key to success.

Sue Dansereau

Sue started her training career in 1985. She has taught many different classes over the years. She uses this knowledge to design unique and fun sessions for her clients.

Sue incorporates Yoga, Pilates, Boot camp training, TRX and of course, traditional strength training to develop a program that will help each client reach their goals.

Sue has training a wide variety of clients over the years ranging from age 15 to 85.

Whether your goal is to be healthier, lose weight, become stronger or to rehab an injury, we can work together to get you there.

Fenrir & Ari

Fenrir (on the right) is a BARK certified trainer specializing in both cardio and grip strength. Fen has perfected the art of running back and forth while maintaining incredible focus, thanks to his extensive physical fitness background. A high-energy trainer, Fen expects a lot out of his clients, and isn’t afraid to go a little ruff on them to unlock their true potential.

Fen has been working at Iron Edge for two years now, and he credits Matt for helping to give him a new leash on life.

Ari (on the left) recently acquired her official BARK certification after years of hard work and dedication to her craft. The newest member of the Iron Edge team, Ari has already carved out a sizable role as a strength trainer, specializing in lower body exercises to help her clients develop a more explosive jump.

Ari has spent time training in the Pyrenees, which helped to reinforce her ruff exterior. Don’t let her toughness fool you however, as Ari has been known to roll over for her clients from time to time. Matt has been mentoring Ari for six months now, and she knows how lucky she is to receive such a great pawportunity.
